Why Us

Why Choose Counseling Solutions Treatment Centers?

Counseling Solutions Treatment Centers (CSTC) believes in the dignity and worth of individuals struggling with opioid addiction above all else. We don't just say that addiction is a disease and that medication-assisted treatment with methadone and buprenorphine are the most effective treatments; We truly believe it and strive to provide a treatment setting that is akin to any other medical facility for any other illness.

We are one of a very limited number of opioid treatment programs in the states of Georgia and North Carolina to have voluntarily sought and achieved Behavioral Healthcare Accreditation from The Joint Commission (JCAHO). Accreditation by JCAHO is recognized internationally as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization's commitment to meeting the highest performance standards.

We exist to help people heal, and we strive to provide treatment environments that are rooted in a foundational belief that methadone and buprenorphine patients can do and be anything they choose to be. We recognize that more than half of the staff of the original clinics run by Drs. Vincent Dole & Marie Nyswander were methadone patients, and we acknowledge that patients have a vital role to play in the development of treatment programs and interventions that have the greatest likelihood of success. We are unique among other opioid treatment programs in that we are proud to have an individual in recovery thanks to medication-assisted treatment as one of our managing partners and owners.

We believe in the value of peer support, and we strive to empower our patients that have found medication-assisted recovery through medication-assisted treatment to become involved in patient advocacy and/or peer support services. Thanks to a grant from SAMHSA, the Medication-Assisted Recovery Services (MARS) Project funded one of our patients to attend a training at the national Conference of the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD) in Baltimore, Maryland in 2016 to come back and implement a state-of-the-art peer support program and community at our Chatsworth, Georgia opioid treatment program. We hope to expand these services to our Murphy, North Carolina opioid treatment program as well. We believe that patients should always come first; Company profits should be secondary to quality, evidence-based care rooted in best practices.
